The range of techniques offered by Viveka consultants include personal consultations, the most up to date ultrasound, laboratory tests, physical examinations and occasionally investigative surgery.
Consultant doctors
are the crucial foundation. Your doctor will meet you and talk about your symptoms and history and carry out a skilful examination.
Ultrasound scanning
is carried out by Clinical Diagnostics Services (CDS). The radiologists and sonographers are world leaders in 3D and 4D ultrasound and Doppler imaging. They have particular skill in pregnancy and pelvic and breast imaging, and in fertility investigation and treatment.
Laboratory tests
may be used to check for disease, infection and to analyse hormones. Testing is part of our well woman screening, to check blood count, liver and kidney function, and glucose, cholesterol and lipids levels, and is part of cancer screening.
Allergy testing
uses the latest techniques to identify the triggers, and in asthma to assess lung function.
Nutritional analysis
plays an important part in diagnosis. We may use several aspects including a review of your diet, and stool analysis of gut bacteria, leaky gut, food absorption and intolerance. Vitamin, mineral and essentail fatty acid levels are checked using blood or hair analysis.
