Pilates

Pilates strengthens the body physically whilst promoting mental relaxation. Focusing on core stability, a strong back and pelvic floor and correct postural alignment, it is non-impact and suitable for all levels of fitness.

Jodies' classes are designed to help you improve your tone and strength before and after birth, and while you are caring for a young baby.

Pilates helps to:

  • strengthen pelvic floor muscles
  • minimise complications such as incontinence
  • promote the return of pre-pregnancy muscle tone.
  • improve your awareness of upper-body movement
  • strengthen your back muscles
  • improve postural strength and stability

Once you have the basics you can carry on at home - but coming to classes is a great way to keep your motivation up, and to meet other mums and babies.
