Yoga in Pregnancy for Active Birth

Our Yoga in pregnancy classes are led by Janet Balaskas, who was one of the original pregnancy yoga teachers in the UK. The postures and sequences are designed to help you feel energised, to ease aches and pains and help you feel balanced, and as preparation for opening and relaxing during birth. The impact on your posture will enhance your wellbeing, and will be useful when you are breastfeeding and carrying your baby. When you're happy to, we hope you'll practice at home.  

A limited class size ensures Janet is able to attend to individual needs and listen to your concerns and questions. Yoga is a physical and spiritual practice and these classes are imbibed with the philosophy of Active Birth, which was pioneered by Janet and has had an incredible influence on birthing practice around the world. 

Janet will help you feel at ease and develop a sense of balance in mind and body. She will also guide you in breathing techniques for relaxation, for revitalisation and for use in labour, as well as meditation and visualisation work. 

These classes are fun and relaxing, and designed to improve your confidence through pregnancy and birth, and beyond.
