Dr Amali Lokugamage
Dr Amali Lokugamage is leading female private gynaecologist practicing in northwest London, within a team of consultant doctors and specialists in womens health. Her expertise is in blending conventional medicine with complementary care - and she enjoys doing this as part of the Viveka integrated health practice. Amali treats a wide range of women’s health problems including menstrual disorders, PMS, menopause, recurrent vaginal infections and pelvic pain.
Amali works as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist/Honorary Senior Lecturer in London. She is a strong supporter of Integrated Medicine, where conventional Obstetrics & Gynaecology is merged with Complementary Medicine. She is a Registered Homeopath and practices Acupuncture. Amali has set up a Maternity Acupuncture service within the NHS. She also has a keen interest in improving rates of natural birth and had a homebirth herself in 2008.
