Dr Yehudi Gordon
Yehudi is internationally known for his medical skill and his unique way of helping people to enjoy their health and power. He is a pioneer in using integrated care where women and families have access to modern medical treatment backed up by complementary therapies. Yehudi is also one of those rare breed of doctors who appreciates how physical and emotional health are interwoven, and has the skill and the team approach to enhance both.
Yehudi treats a range of gynaecology problems (menstrual and menopause symptoms, fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS etc.) and he is one of the country's leading specialists in the treatment of pelvic pain. Yehudi brings both empathy and experience to his care of women and couples before conception, during fertility care and in early pregnancy. He also works with the Viveka team who attend to issues ranging from weight, stress or relationship problems, to emotions and self-esteem.
Yehudi has worked as an obstetrician for 30 years. In this time he achieved international acclaim and was a pioneer of active birth and waterbirth in the UK. He also founded the Birth Unit at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth. Yehudi no longer practices as an obstetrician but loves contact with pregnancy, so in addition to his gynaecology practice he runs Babiesknow weekends for parents. This is one of his great passions 'because gentle empathetic parenting can make a huge impact on the lives of future generations'.
Yehudi has co-written several books including Birth & Beyond; Mother and Baby Health, the A-Z of Pregnancy, Pain to power and Peace; Encyclopaedia of Pregnancy & Birth; and Water Birth.
