Self- hypnosis for Gentle Birth

The art of self hypnosis is incredibly powerful - helping you relax and move towards your goals. Self-hypnosis for gentle birth is a skill many parents-to-be develop during pregnancy, and apply during birth. The effect is felt throughout mind and body - from a positive, accepting and confident attitude, to the activity of the pelvis and the optimal flow of birthing hormones.

Led by Gowri Motha, group sessions in self-hypnosis (or hypnobirthing) are usually attended by couples, so that during birth 'dad' can guide 'mum' as she enters her sacred birthing space, using visualisations as well as breath and movement during a gentle and powerful birth. You can also use self-hypnosis as a way of contacting your baby during pregnancy, and working with your baby during labour towards an enjoyable and stress-free birth.
