Carla Lamkin
Carla Lamkin has been working as an osteopath for over 20 years, mostly with babies, children and pregnant women. She has a special interest in the way each person presents emotional and physical symptoms that are expressions of discomfort, and, importantly, provide an opportunity to overcome blockages that may originate in physical or emotional trauma. Carla combines cranial osteopathy with therapeutic movement, remedial massage and naturopathy.

Core belief/passion:
Enabling and empowering people to overcome pain and difficulties by helping them change patterns and release old habits and be in the present in order to live life to the full. By addressing the body and listening to a patient's feelings an osteopath enables the body’s self-healing mechanisms to become a potent force for change and rebalances the structure and function of the individual. A course of treatment can be life changing, and may offer preventative care, especially in babies and children.
I like:
To work with babies and children and pregnant mothers and be part of the life cycle from early on, as this can lead to avoiding or diminuishing so many problems later in life, both physical and emotional.
I don't like:
To practise in a passive way. My patients are very much part of the treatment and process and in this way are empowered to change their lives and understand their symptoms and find a way towards self help.
I love Viveka because:
We are part of a team, and our clients are able to receive an approach far more powerful than the efforts of one therapist. This facilitates change at a deep and lasting level: it is not a symptomatic approach but rather one where the people are seen in a multi-faceted way, from a psychological, physical and emotional aspect. It is a truly integrated and holistic approach.
