He is particularly skilled in treating problems relating to organ dysfunction. Lynn's background in psychology enriches his approach; and he also teaches cranial osteopathy.

Role:

Osteopath & Cranial Osteopath; family specialist.

Qualifications:

BA, DO, MSCC; BA (honors) in Humanistic Psychology; DO (Diploma in Osteopathy); MSCC (Member of the Sutherland Cranial College)

Core belief/passion:

Any fool can identify and name a disease. What is more important is to identify the health in an individual and understand how health, in all of its inherent intelligence, is already attempting to resolve any given problem. If this can be listened to, one can find a way of assisting Nature's power to overcome the problem being faced.

As an Osteopath, listening uses all of one's senses but mostly one's ability to touch and feel (palpation). Life has form and is expressed in motion. The relationships of all the tissues of the body, including muscles, bones, ligaments, organs, blood and lymph vessels, nerves, and fascia, and how they move, informs us of how the body is functioning. The Osteopath employs "manipulation" to help. We use knowing, thinking fingers to listen, and to assist the corrective powers within.

I like:

My patients. They help me know the world around me. More importantly, I am given the opportunity to help others. My patients bring to me the most intricate puzzles where medical history and lifestyle and personality and accidents meet. They challenge my intelligence and powers of perception. And maybe, with the correct effort, listening pays off in finding the correct presence, contact, pressure and movement, and something happens! Health gets restored. That is always great to see and be part of.

I don't like:

When despite all one's efforts, help is not found.

I love Viveka because:

It has provided leadership and vision for how integrated family health care can be provided. The team at Viveka consistently demonstrates a depth of intelligent caring when it comes to their patients. It is a warm and challenging group to work with. I love the learning. I love knowing that the patients I refer will get the best of care within the Viveka group. I love being able to talk to other practitioners. We can put our heads together to come up with the best solutions to support our patients' health.

I also work at:

Sutherland House, London, NW11
