A Well Woman Check
A Well Woman Check gives you a chance to talk to your GP or Consultant Gynaecologist about anything that's concerning you, and have a health review, with a range of screening tests that will help you look after yourself well.
A check includes a full history and examination, blood tests & assessment of cholesterol levels and diabetes risk, and a review of your menstrual cycle/menopause health. Your GP or Consultant Gynaecologist will give you a written report and all test results are returned quickly. Screening tests may include:
- a weight and BMI assessment
- breast examination and breast cancer screening
- cervical smear
- cholesterol check
- contraception review
- kidney health check
- hormonal analysis
- liver function test
- menstrual cycle review
- preconception health check
- sexually transmitted disease screening
- thyroid function test
Your doctor is of course here for you at any stage, and we enjoy developing a long-term relationship.
