Motherhood
As a mother your concerns may range from your own physical issues to worries about your children; you may want some help as you balance day-to-day life; or emotional support. You may begin by coming to a class, or with a one-to-one consultation with a doctor, or a therapist of your choice.
Your gynaecologist is here to investigate your concerns and offer treatment. You may meet regularly for well woman checks. If your condition suggests the need, your doctor will discuss options for medication or surgical treatment.
Our excellent team of paediatricians offer specialised care for babies and children with developmental assessments, ongoing advice and specialist care covering behaviour, allergy, ENT, infections and digestion. You may also want to make use of our range of parenting support services, which include a variety of classes.
Complementary therapies have much to offer to enhance your strengths and help you deal with challenges. Motherhood requires many different aspects of you (carer, playmate, cleaner, financier, taxi driver, conflict resolver, lover ...) and our complementary therapists work on many levels at once. The choice includes osteopathy, acupuncture, homeopathy, nutritional therapy and massage.
Emotional support from Viveka is very sensitive and you are likely to feel well supported. We have a specialised 'Emo' team, which includes a personal and family therapist, a hypnotherapist, a psychotherapist and a life coach. A therapist may work with you alone, or together with your child, or with your partner or family group.
Viveka's classes and groups are focused on mothers' health and family matters. The choice includes pilates, mums-and-babies group, toddler group, breastfeeding support, baby massage and nutrition talks; and Babiesknow workshops that support mums from conception onwards.
